4. Adverse Possession

    1. The State's condemnation of property stays any period of prescriptive use, for no rights as to state property can be acquired by prescription. The State need not pay compensation for land allegedly acquired by the plaintiff from a third party by adverse possession, since the land was condemned by the State one year and ten months after it was acquired by the plaintiff.
